TREP Agents

On-Boarding Steps

Note:  If you are transferring your sponsorship from another broker you will need to terminate that relationship before you start Step 1 below.   To cancel your sponsorship with your current broker you can do so at https://www.trec.texas.gov/ under "My License Services"

1.  Transfer your license with TREC

  • Click the link to the TREC website:  https://www.trec.texas.gov/

  • To log in, enter your username and password in the upper right hand corner.

  • Once you're logged in, click on your name and select "My License Services"

  • Click the drop down menu next to your license number, choose "Manage my sponsorship (sales)" and click "Select"

  • Click "Next" at the bottom of the page.

  • Under Request Sponsorship, enter License Number 9004324  (Please note our LLC is The Charitable Realtor, LLC and we operate under a DBA as The Real Estate Project)

  • Choose 'Send Request'

  • Complete the payment process and payment (roughly $20.00) and your sponsorship request will be sent to us.

2. Sign Independent Contractor Agreement with TREP

3. Change Your Broker Affiliation with Your Realtor Board

Fill out the pdf below to join Collin County Association of Realtors (CCAR) for your MLS and or Board.  (Make sure you also send in your new license that shows you have joined TREP.  You will receive that once you do all steps above and it goes through their system. Normally the day you transfer your license.)  Once you have completed one of the forms below, scan and email back to membership@ccar.net along with your new license which you will receive via email from TREC. If you are an active agent, once CCAR receives your application they will notify your current MLS provider about your transfer of MLS dues and ask for a letter of good standing. This will only cancel your MLS membership with your current board.  (This is required by the state.  All agents under a designated broker must have their MLS under the same board as the designated broker, which is CCAR for The Real Estate Project) If you are a brand new agent please fill out the form on the right hand side which will sign you up for CCAR's board and you will get your MLS access through them as well.  If you are a brand new agent and have never been a part of a board you will be required to attend new membership training with the local board you join.
